Pilot Reported Flight Control Problems

Minutes after takeoff, Captain Yared Getachew, pilot of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, reported to air traffic controllers at Addis Ababa airport (where the plane departed from) that he was experiencing flight control problems, and he requested to return to the origin airport.  The pilot’s report did not indicate any external issue, such as a bird strike, that may have contributed to the loss of control, thus supporting the popular theory that the aircraft’s MCAS implementation may have led to the crash.
